inside the [ studio ]

Friday, May 18, 2012

yesterday was my first day off "work" in a very long time.  I did take a few hours off this morning, people watching at our local coffee shop, and doing a little vintage shopping.  but then I became surprisingly productive. funny how I can wake up so easily and get so much done when it's things I really want to be doing.

finally these years working in galleries, patching walls and painting pedestals, are coming into good use.  I patched up this wall in my studio today, filling holes and repainting it.  before I moved in, there had been a big system of shelves between the windows, that left pretty ugly streaks of glue and empty screw holes.  Now that its nice and clean, I plan to use the wall to photograph my paintings.

I even got started on a new painting today! (check out a peek of it, on the left side there ;)

happy friday! (especially for those that don't work weekends, unlike like me)

if you're interested in reserving the painting featured (on the easel) e-mail me directly at amaryllistruth [at] gmail.com.
